7-12 Computer Science (933) and K-6 Computer Science (937) (12 hours)

To be eligible for institutional recommendation from Mississippi State University for these supplemental endorsements, a valid Mississippi educator's license in a subject area is required.

Specialized Education(12 Semester hours)

• TECH 4763/6763: Digital Tools for 21st Century Teaching and Learning
• TECH 4583/6583: Graphics and Web Design
• TECH 4333/6333: Introduction to Computer Science Education
• TECH 4553/6553: Advanced Information Processing

All coursework must be completed at Mississippi State University and with a grade of "C" or higher. Candidate must provide IC³ Internet and Computing Certification prior to MSU making the recommendation for this endorsement. The IC³ exam is created by Certiport, a business of NCS Pearson, Inc. It is available in several versions, but for MDE licensure requirements, the Global Standards 4 or 5 (GS4 or GS5) is acceptable. For more information click here.
