N-1 (Nursery-First Grade) (150)
A candidate for an N-1 endorsement must complete the K-3 interdisciplinary curriculum in addition to the courses required for N-1 certification. Only elementary education students are eligible for this endorsement.

- EDE 3123: Early Childhood Education (3 credit hours)
- EDX 4113: Diagnostic-Prescriptive Methods and Materials for Early Childhood Disabled (3 credit hours)
- EDX 3213: Psychology and Education of Exceptional Children and Youth (3 credit hours)
- HS 2813: Child Development (3 credit hours)
- HS 2803: Pre-natal and Infant Development (3 credit hours)
- HS 3803: Child Care Procedures (3 credit hours)
- Choose one from the following:
- HS 4803: Parenting (3 credit hours)
- EDX 4413: Working With Parents of Exceptional Children (3 credit hours)
All coursework must be completed at Mississippi State University and with a grade of "C" or higher.
